McKenzie House Guarantee

So that you are completely satisfied with your new furnishings, all McKenzie House custom-made products are backed by the following guarantee: 

McKenzie House: the trading name of name of McKenzie House Interior Furnishings Ltd. Hereinafter referred to as "we/us/our". 

mckenziehouse.co.nz: the name of this website owned solely by McKenzie House Interior Furnishings Ltd. Hereinafter referred to as "we/us/our". 

The customer: anyone purchasing product/s from McKenzie House/mckenziehouse.co.nz and hereinafter referred to as ‘you/your’. 

Guarantee

1.    All prices quoted are GST inclusive. There will be no additional costs other than those quoted. 

2.    We guarantee that any custom made item purchased from us via this website will be free from defects in workmanship and materials, under normal use and conditions, for 24 months from the date of purchase. However, this guarantee does not cover the effects of normal wear and tear, accidental damage, abuse or misuse, incorrect installation, fading or discolouration of fabric and maintenance not carried out in accordance with any instructions provided with the product. 

3.    We shall repair or totally replace any product that is proven to be defective within the limits of this guarantee and the following terms and conditions.

Terms & Conditions

1. We require a 50% deposit to be paid at the time of placing your order. The 50% balance remaining must be paid when your order is finished and before your items are despatched. 

2. All changes to orders must be done in writing to us as soon as possible. Please be aware that changes to orders may result in delayed delivery times and/or increased costs. Some changes will not be possible at all - eg. fabric choice.

3. Cancellation of an order is not possible after production has commenced or after we have ordered any fabric or component required to begin your order (this normally takes place within 12 hours of receiving an order).

4. If you (the customer) make an error with any instructions or measurements given to us that necessitates an alteration or replacement, you will be liable for any costs incurred (including all freight costs). 

5. If we make an error that results in a product requiring alteration or replacement, we will be liable for any costs incurred (including all freight costs). 

6. Full payment is due prior to the despatch of any finished product. If the balance owing remains unpaid after 4 weeks following notification of completion of the order we reserve the right to charge interest at a rate of 5% per calendar month on the outstanding balance.

7. Title and ownership of any product/s ordered from us will remain with us until all products have been paid for in full. 

8, It is your responsibility to inspect any package for damage prior to signing a freight company’s receipt docket. If there is visible damage, you must make a note on the courier’s docket to indicate the nature of the damage. Goods delivered damaged must be reported to us by email within 48 hours of delivery otherwise goods will be deemed to have been received in good order.

9. Any defective goods must be returned to us (at our cost) unless agreed otherwise. We will maintain sole discretion as to whether a product warrants repair or replacement.

10. Under no circumstances will we be liable for any damage, loss, injury or expense caused by the use or delivery of any product purchased from us.
