Winter is now well and truly here going by the freezing temperatures last week! Our offer of free lining on curtain and blind orders placed during the month of May was well received and it made for a very busy month! Thanks again to all of you who took up this offer.
Choosing lined curtains is an excellent way to greatly reduce heat loss through your windows. There are other ways to help insulate your windows against the winter chill. Have a look at some of them below.
Add Bumph InterliningBumph interlining is a thick layer of padded polyester or cotton fabric that is sewn between the front fabric and the lining of curtains. Traditionally used with silk or taffeta fabrics to add extra glamour and fullness, it can also be used with most other types of fabric for added insulation - a bit like having a duvet inner in your curtains! Combine a Roman Blind with CurtainsDropping a roman blind down behind your curtains during the cold winter months not only adds an extra layer of warmth to your room it also adds colour and interest during the day.
